Special Weapons and Tactics

Our SWAT Team is a part-time unit consisting of deputies from various roles within the agency such as road patrol, the criminal investigations division, and more. They receive continuing training from explosive breaching and counterterrorism hostage rescue to naval exercises and dignitary protection. The SWAT team consists of breachers, snipers, grenadiers, and armored vehicle operators.

There are teams adjacent to the SWAT team including our drone operators, Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS) unit, and our Crisis Negotiation Team.
