Four-Legged Heroes

Our K9 unit has a multitude of specialized dogs such as apprehension, drug/contraband detection, firearm and bomb detection, human tracking, and therapy. They are used in multiple other units around the agency such as Road Patrol, School Resource, Corrections, and Dispatch. They train weekly to continuously improve their skills in their specialized positions, as well as K9 casualty combat care and aviation training. Our Sheriff strongly believes in the ability of our four-legged heroes, therefore our K9 unit is always growing with more dogs and specialized positions becoming available year after year.
